sweetuh kinda beat me to it, but i was thinking when it comes to album sales and selling out locales, who are the cream of the crop...
daft punk
crystal method
tiesto
underworld?
moby?
and...
selling out arenas and going platinum spells success in the music industry, so regardless on anyones thoughts on david guetta's music, the man is doing something right. |

| I think its Armin! |

| Tiesto overall is prob still more popular than Armin. He's known to the mass market more. Armin might get there one day, but I don't see the same type of PR madness for him that we saw for Tiesto. |

| Tiesto & Daft Punk for sure. They both sell out arenas. Guetta is getting there. I think Guetta sells out more than Armin mostly due to his success on Top 40 radio. |

In this order:
Tiesto
Daft Punk
David Guetta
Armin Van Buuren |

Let's not forget Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Bros., or The Prodigy.
Big Beat makes big bucks. |
|
|
| Nerologic |
Daft Punk.
They made a TON of money with that game that just got released.
And they will continue getting royalties for it.
After that it has to be either Tiesto or Guetta. Guetta is making a retarded amount of money with Sexy Bitch. Its getting HUGE amount of radio play etc etc. |

| how much money do you guys think armin pulls in per year once it's all said and done? |

let me explain you what "most successful" really means... lowest common denominator... that is all.
if these guys are doing one thing right, it's making money. making money doesn't equate to making quality, creative or original music.
you know who else makes lots of money? mcdonalds, britney spears, walmart, budweiser, fox news. lowest common denominator. |

I'd guess in the neighborhood of 3 million from gigs (assuming an average club gig gets him 20-40 plus the occasional arena show which could be closer to 100). No idea how much he makes from armada or ASOT.
Edit: R!ch, you can talk all the you want about the "lowest common denominator," but when you think about how many millions of people try to appeal to it and fail you have to have at least some respect for those who actually manage to succeed. They're playing a different game than you are, but they're still really good at what they do. |

| Talking bookings - Mau5 is very very high - More so than Armin. Tiesto is at the top - but i am sure Daft Punk are even more. Not sure about Moby and Underworld but imagine them high as well. |
