If you have a very very low IQ you might enjoy Two and a Half Men...
But my fav TV serie since Lost is without a doubt In Treatment with Gabriel Byrne.
It's not for everybody, a lot of talking, no action, but the acting and the writing is out of this world. |

| Just like to say it's good to see some new names in this forum. Whether you're new to TA, or just from another area, welcome aboard :D |

I've tried to like South Park on several occasions and given it a fair shot. I like how they approach issues and look at them through different angles, but I just don't find it as funny. |
And I don't blame you, it's mostly hit or miss with them, but I'm die hard about it. I don't mind checking a 20 minutes episode for that one liner lol :) |

So far looks like the winners are The Wire and Curb Your Enthusiasm. I might just start with those. Although my Italian roots are gearing me towards Rome ;)
Witty, I've seen Arrested Development:... heeeeey brother!..... ;)
As for all the cartoon series, ya I like most of them but not to the point that I have to sit at home and do a marathon. I'd go nuts hearing the intro every 20 minutes or so lol.
And LOL at "if you have a very low IQ"... |

| Check ROME first for sure, its only 20 episodes total. |

The best cartoon for a marathon to me is Robot Chicken. Ok it isn't technically a cartoon, but the jokes and skits are pretty quick fire. If you think that one skit is not anything special it really will not be long until the next one.
What they do with some of my childhood toys is awesome. |

I thought Weeds was good in the first season, but i really don't like where they took it.
Come to think of it, a series that i got into with my gf quite a bit is Rescue Me. It is pretty dark for a comedy and the realness factor makes it a plus. Dennis Leary pretty much plays himself as a fireman, no great feat of acting here, as it is in the same style as his stand up; in your face and no holds barred.
It works in the context of the series, and often i would find that i was always looking forward to the next episode. I really need to buy the box set. |

You didn't like season 2? I thought it kept the funny at least through then, plus Yael (sp?) was so goddamn hot

Love that show. So many amazing gems in there.
One of my fav's is Horton Hears a What What, where they take the Seuss story & make it about a crack rock instead of the speck in the orig, and some street whore fires it up at the end after blowing Horton behind a dumpster, all in perfect Seuss rhyme. Tears of laughter. |

i obviously have a penchant for the "Little Hitler" skit.
Even when it is a little unfunny, the show is always done very stylishly.
for weeds, it isn't that i think that season 2 is horrible or anything like that, i just didn't like the tangent the character development took. Kevin Nealon needs to get more face time, because he makes the most funny on that show. |
