Do you allow GeoTagging?

This is why you can't allow geotagging when you take pics with your iPhone or other devices ...
You'll never know, it might land in the wrong hands one day.
(Sorry to make a thread about this, but people tend to ignore little detail. They don't realize geotagging can be very dangerous.
Especially for chicks ...
EDIT:
Picasa can also do this with GoogleEarth

I would, especially on trips. That would make finding places much easier on a map.
(Are you trying to demonstrate something with those 2 screenshots? cause I don't get it) |

The pics are the same one, trying to exlpain to ppl about turning geotagging off for your secuirty.
My buddy's iPhone has all these nude pics of these bitches he ed one weekend.
His face went blank when I showed the locations of his daughter's pics ... playing in the park and hanging out at home.
I'm gonna get the pics of his b*tches and find the locations :p I'll post it up tomorrow :p
Keep in mind, once you allow GeoTagging to be enbled ... it's easy to forget all your pics will be geotagged. Until you reset your location warnings. |

| so the photo gets tagged with the location? I don't see the big deal if it's only for personal viewing. If the photos are posted for public viewing, then that's a bit dodgy and could be a problem. |

It's when you first turn on your camera.
Reset it (settings> general> reset> location warning) and you'll see the warning, even I was careless when i first used it ... |

ezekiel, keep in mind that in order to see the geotagging information in the exif part of the jpeg file, the file needs to be sent as is to someone or published as is on the net.
Most of the time, pictures are recompressed and/or stripped of their exif information when published on facebook for example.
So really, it's not a big of an issue. |
