i don't like to limit myself to only one music style, i play whatever i like, and that mix shows it best :)

Ok, so i listened to this on the way to work today. I really like the beginning part as expected. Towards the end it started to become circuit house, which is not my thing, but i was surprised to like the Hossa track and will add it to my crate.:)
Positives:
A nice mix of styles, and even though all of it is not to my taste, this is a good gateway mix between more commercial overtones and some darker stuff that would work in an afters quite well. Perfect mix to get some people who like the more commercial sounding stuff exposed to things they might not hear all the time and get them to dig deeper.
Constructive criticism:
Starting the mix on a kick drum (pet peeve), nothing major i just find it nice to have an empty lead/intro. The first transition was a little sudden and both tracks did not compliment themselves very much, but when you started getting into the big room stuff the flow was spot on. A few other transitions seemed sudden, but i am picky when it comes to this kind of thing (lolsnob) and in a club no one would notice. It does give this mix a very live feel.
Good stuff. What are you using?:)

Yeah the 1st mix is rushed, but i wanted to have it this way. It's not THAT bad hehe :P
I prefer the second half of my mix, but overall i think the progression is well made... You get the happy feeling at the beginning, then it gets more intense as the mix goes on. I like to have it a little commercial, because I play at clubs like Balroom and Living... so I have to keep the "cheesy" edge, but I work at Circus aswell, so I had to make something that would be easy to listen to everyone and keep it my style.
Thanks for your review, it's a nice read. The transitions are mostly obvious because I mix like that and i always have... I like the fact that people can notice when the track is coming... But it's just me, everyone has their own style of djing.

oh and vermz z is too shy to say that he hates Let's Boogie... Even though it's an AWESOME track :P
