def. CRISPY ROLL on Queen St. West, not far from MuchMusic. AMAZING sushi, and not very costly at all. 2 ppl can eat for $20 or less.
Wasabi Crispy Roll FTW :)
I also like the place across from my work called OYSHI SUSHI @ 12 Queens Quay West...Yonge/Queens Quay.
They have the sushi w/the cream cheese in the middle. Not sure what they call it there...either Boston of Philadelphia Roll (called different things in diff. places). Who ever thought to put cream cheese in sushi was a ing genius. |

I remember reading through this thread a while back, and appreciate how everyone has their own unique idea of what they consider to be good, quality sushi.
For a couple years now I've been consistently going to Sushi Star on Spadina just south of College, and maybe once have I been disappointed with my overall experience (service, taste, quality, etc). Can't wait to get back to T.O. next week so I can enjoy some sushi goodness!
p.s. However, given that Aji Sai on queen west is literally just down the street from me, I think it deserves a shot. |

Terroni is amazing. I used to go everyday for lunch when I worked on Richmond/Strachan. Another amazing Italian Restaurant is Sotto Sotto on Avenue and Verona on King St W |
I would not put Sotto Sotto in the same sentence as Terroni...
Verona is a happy medium between the two.
I like Sotto Voce on College @ Clinton.

I've never eaten Sushi.
Sometimes I suspect I'm missing out on something but when I voice such a thought it always seems like the person/people I'm around assure(s) me the food is nothing special.
One day I must try Sushi--but not the fish kind, the vegetable kind. [Does that make sense?] |
