OK. I just finished recording my demo on sound forge. Right now it is recorded as 1 long 60 minute track, like a live set. When I burn it to CD is want it broken up into individual tracks for easy listening. To split it up should i just make cuts in the track through sound forge and save them as individual tracks or is there an easier way.
Also I need to burn the cd so that there is no pause in between tracks so again it flows like a live set. I want the promoters that recieve my cd to be able to listen to the mixes without pauses in between.
thanks. |

that would be your best bet, to split it up into tracks, but what your gonna wanna do is be able to split them to the hundreth of a second ex: 00.00.00 cause if you can't then you are goin to be able to tell where the split is cause you will he it like a short blip in the sound.
Peace |

| I record my mixes with cool edit or soundforge than I split directly with nero, so no gaps or "Bops" between to tracks (don't forget to set the gap between tracks to 0 sec) |

Any application I use- I hear a pop or a slight pause- you
can hear it on them all. I dont know what the problem is.
I have the latest ASPI drivers- XP -
Even when I use a cue file in NERO it still does it.
I have a plextor 40/12/42 - Even did it when I had my
HP 16x. Any suggestions? |

| My friends demo was split up into tracks and if you listen to it straight through you cant even tell were the splits are. Ill ask him what program he used, i forgot the name of it. |

Are you sure you are burning in Disk-at-once mode? Because if you burn in Track-at-Once, even when your pauze is set to 0, you'll get a slight cut on every begin of the track. |

One simple solution....download a program called "CDRCUE"
with this program, you edit your wave and create what is called a "cue sheet", which pretty much splits tracks without any skips....
Ive been using it for a while and everyone always asks me how to get it to split without the skip.
Its always been a pain in the ass to use the burning programs... trust me, just use this program, it is specifically made for that. |

Well i made the first copy of the cd. All the mixes flowed through the cd track changes flawlessly EXCEPT for the first second and last. kind of a piss off as now i have to re cut all the tracks.
Bachatu: Where can i get this cue program, i think thats the answer to my problem. |

| OK cue sheets are the way to go. The track transitions are perfect, no blips or anything. |
