Hey everyone
Well in light of the recent thread on no trance on radio i last night made an interesting discovery. I actually was so bored at home i read my austar(pay tv) guide and discovered satellite radio is part of the deal with 25 stations one of which is dedicated to trance. I instantly found it and put it throught the trusty yamaha and was well pleased with the selection playing. As each track played there was a description of title, artist and even mix. The bio for the station states bringing you the latest in uk, french and european trance. They don't have a guide with it so i suppose i will turn it on every now and then and see who is playing. I would think dj mixes would have to be part of it so i will have a video tape handy if anything good comes on regardless of the fact there isn't pictures to go with it.
Austar is actually a mix of optus and fox for us country hicks so anyone else out there who has either, it may be worth a check to see if you have had a trance radio station unkown to you.
I'll get back to you with any track highlights that make there way to my dish.:) |

heh good to hear some trance on the radio, even if it is a pretty obscure station...
On another note, I heard 4 Strings - Into the Night on Nova969 this afternoon .. crappy vocal mix but I was like WTF!?!?

I reckon, I think they started playing it at the start of the year. I did hear PvD - Nothing But You (Some Remix) on 96.1 yesterday. It was a remix but still.
At least its not as as the Radio mix of Planet Funk - Who Said? Man that mix totally destroyed that track for me! Radio hang your head in shame! |

LOL webbie.
first time I heard that vocal mix of into the night I almost threw up... I could hear the tv in the other room, someone had left MTV on (this was in australia, via optusvision cable tv) and I guess they were showing the video clip. My first thoughts were of complete confusion, because I fully thought that into the night was playing on my mate's stereo and that the tv had some pop song playing... that's how bad it was. But the longer I listened, the more I realised that the 'two songs' were in relatively good sync, and concluded that appropriate action was to knock myself out with a baseball bat.(jacking off in the process) |
