I might actually be down to head up to SF with you guys if that happens. This was the first time seeing Markus for me and his set was insane, as far as I'm concerned. It's too bad that you don't remember it Ryan - but, if I recall correctly, you told me later in the night that it had been maybe you're 7th or 8th time seeing him sooooo I don't know what to say. I wish I could say the same thing though.
And I could've sworn Markus played 3 hours. I guess I just had that great of a time lol. |
When you start counting how many times you have missed Markus, then come find me ;)
What an amazing weekend!!! we first had dinner at Nove...and omg it was best dinner! We had everything from appetizers/deserts! So yummy!!! I thought they where going to have to wheel me out of there I ate so much!!!
After dinner we went to the club. IMO the opening dj's....if you want to call them that, where a major buzz kill for me!! The tracks they where playing where really really bad and just got worse. Greg and I had to take a walk outside to escape it all!!! I was so happy when Markus came on to save the night! I just wish he had a longer set. 2 hours is just a little tease. However that little tease was amazing!
Sorry I did not hang much with you guys. I tried my best to dance in the crowd, but all these drunk people kept running into me, hurting my hand. So I had to escape from the madness.
Thank you again Sol for everything!!!
we will be posting pictures soon! |

Since we lost our babysitter for this weekend and our plane tickets are non-refundable we want to try to go up to SF for Markus, but plane tickets are $200+ each right now. Even on other airlines, it's no cheaper than that. When flying Friday-Sunday that weekend.
Bing/Farecast says prices will go down $50-$80 each way in the next week and hopefully it does so we can pay as little difference as possible.
BTW, those of you discussing set times, I thinkt he shortest set Markus has played in the last 6-7 years in SF is 3 hours. And that was once. And it was after he pretty much came in from a flight from Europe and played a couple hours later at Mighty. Other than that, it's been pretty much all 4+ hour sets. Maybe a little less than four hours once. :p
(Him playing at Slide before Armin play at Ruby doesn't count. And the other time he played with Armin doesn't count, though Is till think he played 3+ hours just that night.)

To start out, the opening DJ's were aweful. Not saying they couldn't DJ but for what the night was it was not pleasant to hear useless electro/house music for a #8 ranked Trance producer.
Markus had a great set as always. Could do less Lentos - Forget About Us (Barnes & Heatcliff Remix) and Wippenberg - Pong but still was great.
Drank way much as always...ended up having a big tab lol. :D |

Since when do people look at massives to get an indication of how long a DJ will be playing in a club?
I am talking purely clubs. Obviously! |

Why are you even putting set times of massives in the mix? Club sets times vs massives are entirely different! |
nobody ever mentioned we're talking about clubs vs massive :D |
