Baseball: What a horrible all-star game!

| I know most of you couldn't give a rat's ass about baseball but I must voice my extreme displeasure over the way the All-Star Game ended (in 7-7 tie) in the 11th inning. It's not so much the fact that it was ended in a tie but how early it was ended. I understand the issue of making sure the players are rested for their commitments after the break but would it be so hard to just play 2 innings at the most? |

This is the kind of thing that's bad for baseball. Nevertheless, I still watch it. My local teams, the Angels and Dodgers are doing pretty good this year. For some reason they always blow it at the end of the season and end up in 2nd place and fail to qualify as a wild card team. I hope they both make it to the playoffs this year. LOL!!!That's asking for too much.
What kept baseball alive has gotta be the Homeruns that's been produced in the last few years, not the All-Star games. I'd rather watch the Homerun Derby contest than the game itself. Slammin' Sammy can sure hit the long ball.Peace;) |

| That's just the start of the end of baseball. The end will come when the players strike. IMO that will kill baseball. |

I dunno about you guys, but I still watch baseball. I like the competiveness of the game. Sure there's all these problems that are occuring, but I still watch the game. I guess it's cuz i've watched it for so long and even played little league baseball that it will always be a part of me. Sure the all-star game ended in a tie and players are using steroids. I really don't care about that. It's the race for the pennant chase, getting that wild card slot, and individual stats that brings the game alive. One player can't win it all. It's a team effort.
I like almost all sports in general. You name it!!! soccer, hockey, basketball, American football, the olympics. All these sports had their controversy. Look at the recent World Cup. A disater!!! Doesn't mean i'll stop watching soccer. Hell no. Nothing's perfect. I guess it depends on who you are and what you decide to do about it. We all have our differences of opinion. LOL, I guess that's why forums exists.
Anyways, it's okay for people out there to hate baseball. It's because they like something else. But if you're telling me that you're gonna stop watching baseball after watching it for many years because of some BS then I don't buy it. It's just an all-star game to me. Players don't even play to their full potential becuz they don't want to get injured over a game that means nothing to them, but means alot to the fans. ;) |

Yeah, I guess it kinda suck that Baseball's like the only common sport to watch right now. It's still interesting to watch, especially when your teams are doing good.
On the other hand, I miss hockey more than anything. I'm going to the opening game for sure. They're gonna retire Gretzky's jersey in LA. Can't pass that up. :toothless
How I love October!!! All the major sports are active at the time. Baseball's got the World Series, Football's about 1 month in, and Basketball and Hockey season is just around the corner. ;) |
