price seems fair and a little cheaper than a course at a university. Unless you live in Sweden ( they get free school there right ? )

I do think they should offer a discount when posting in a forum they don't usually go to. Avoid the guys that will say off because they think it is spam.

I did to and he did not PM back at me also!

Thanks for all your feedback. We are always looking to hone the structure and content of our courses so this sort of dicussion is very useful.

We would love to hear from you if you have any other comments or questions so please don't hesitate to add to this thread or PM us if you wish.

If it supported Ableton I would definately consider it.

:haha:

There are about 20,000 people who consider themselves "one of the top trance DJs and producers in the world".

You're truly a complete retard, and a inspiration for all of the potential failures out there.

Yes however, the aforementioned has statistical proof.

As per the topic, I'm actually very interested, one on one advice is amazing in my opinion, I'm going to start saving up.

The reason we started off with the Logic course was because this is Mike's preferred DAW, so he obviously has a deeper knowledge of that particular platform.

We have had similar requests to develop the course in different DAWs, (Ableton in particular) so it is definately something we are considering. However each course takes several months to develop so we need to be absoloutely sure that there will be sufficient demand to justify the time invested.

These sort of forum threads are a great indicator of the demand so please keep the feedback coming. Look out for news of new courses on our website/facebook/twitter pages.

Cheers,

Nick

Oh. It's logic specific? No go for me. I'm ableton / cubase also. the concept is intersting though. My wish though is to have a real time interaction with the person teaching. It's great to get feedback but even better to watch and learn.

I'm a former instructor, taught networking and related topics for over 5 years. My students benefited most from applying knowledge by first observing what I did on projects and the doing work themselves. We had a mini internship, with real assignments - that what most students seemed to enjoy and benefit from.

+1 for Mike Koglin. He IS one of the top producers, in the world. I dont understand the stale scrutinization in this thread. A Trance Legend is offering his skills in his particular daw for a nominal fee, sounds pretty cut and dry to me. No offense, but if youre lowballing Mike Koglin, you have no concept of value. If you have another choice, thats fine.

We agree that is very important that students can observe the tutor applying techniques first before trying them out themselves. This is where the 70+ quicktime tutorial videos come in. There are no rules about which techniques you must or must not use in your own final tracks though... we encourage experimentation and leave this creative process entirely up to you, usually resulting in a remarkably varied set of tracks from people studying the same course.

The real time interaction comes in the weekly webchat session with your tutor where you can ask them for help with anything you haven't understood. Ideally this interaction would be face to face in our courses at the college. However not everyone is able to attend the college, which is why we have developed our online school and strived to make the learning experience as similar as possible.
