I understand that the human ear cant perceive where the lower fequencies are coming from when any given sound is played. but around what frequencies does the ear start to perceive where the sound is coming from ?

I don't think there is an exact value as it depends on the room but 200 hz seems like a good approximation. There is also an auditory blindspot at around 1500 - 2000 hz. |
