after the same stange of the competition, argentina had conceded two and england one.
in fact both england and germany had only conceded one goal until the games they were knocked out :) |

too bad germany made it all the way to the final :) but damn brazil for beating both england and germany....guess we'll have to wait for euro 2004 for the germany-england duel (i don't count that 5-1 qualification match) |

... and still went home after the first round ;)
The weirdest stat is still France ... one of the strongest attacking teams in the world, but couldn't score a single goal ... I wish I would have put a tenner on THAT before the tournament started :eek: :eek: :eek: |
