this track is a chill/progressive one. Wrote it in the last 2 days;i believe it was heavily inspired by owseys latest track, and has some of same intended feelings.
its not yet finalized, still working out some pieces but its done in majority.
has a very nice groove and all the sounds are pretty much in their right place imo. was really disappointed that nothing happened after the first few minutes. i think you should at least tweek that (very nice) piano as the track progresses, or maybe even throw up some smooth vocals. something needs to happen :p

got ya, i agree it could use even more layers of sounds/more intricate piano. ^^ <3 ya. I was sort of trying to go for an empty feeling, hence the name, but maybe it might be too lifeless.
bamski
i didn't think it was lifeless at all, all about more layers as you said. i don't think it's "lifeless" in any way, frankly it just gets really dull because nothing happens/changes after the first minute and a half.i'd try playing around with some different layers. throw in a similar sounding lead like jam & spoon - stella '99
lol just toying with ideas :D

ill try to think of something, thanks for the suggestion; nice track.

Nice atmosphere at the beginning. One of the pads may need just a little more high pass, Im not sure though.
The atmosphere are really good. I would love if the bass was a little bit more prominent when it drops. I like the sound of it alot and i understand why you have sneaked it in like that, it might just be me but I think it deserves to be fully exposed from the beginning. (I have listen to the song a couple of times now and Im not sure if it really is louder after the break, but that was my first thought so I leave it and you be the judge.)
The bright pad variation on the top is awsome.
Overall it has a nice feel to it and somehow the atmosphere reminds me of starkid - crayons which is a good thing ;)

I did'nt read the other post before I posted but I def not think it's boring, it suits the song to be just chill.
I listen to it again and it sounds like you have a "pre bass" before the actual bass comes in? I think thats why it sounds to quiet when it comes in. If so, maybe get the level down on the pre bass before the main drops?
Im not sure if Im right here because Im tired and drunk but I hope I make any sense.

hehe, i think i understand what you are trying to say. yes there are some mixing errors in this, which are being improved right now actually, my main concern is adding more interest to it, like bamski was talking about. thank you very much. im pretty sure the bass volume is identical to before the break, but youtube quality you know, its kind of hard to hear details.

Ok, I think it is interesting as it is, so I would'nt do any major changes if I were u.

interesting, i guess people have their preferences right? ill try to just follow my heart, besides that's what makes me different from me and you right : p
updated the original slightly, added a little rhythmic lead. cleaned up some of the mix, some fixes.
i feel more intricacy with notes could really be beneficial, ill work on some ideas some more. sounds a little basic perhaps?

Very nice atmosphere.
The kick sounds very boomy on little sennheiser buds through a crap PC but is probably fine on something better!
when I listen to the track I can hear Darren Tate style mellow delayed plucks over the top.
