| What I do is when I mix, I let the 2 tracks run together and once in a while every 4 beats I lower the outgoing track's volium in a sharpo movement and raise it again, it sounds like you are cutting some instrument and its really cool. |

only with the mixer???
*so after a quiet part in the playing track, there's a fill-in that leads to the beat...... so what I do is this: I sync the beat of the incoming with the playing track, and then make up a "fill-in" with the incoming track, that will go along with the playing track....
example: for a short period or time, I raise the fader every 4 beats, so you can hear only the 1st beat of every 4.... then the same with every 2.... then I raise the fader so you can hear the whole beat... and when the beat of the playing track kicks in again, I slam the fader down again. :)
*sometimes I do the same thing, but instead of rasing the fader enough time to hear 1 beat, I raise it enough time to hear 2. :)
*if then incoming track has vocals, or a cool sound effect, I sample it with the playing track.....
*sometimes, when I mix, I leave the 2 tracks to play together... synced, of course... and I lower the outgoing track only when it ends...
*sometimes I play with the EQs to make part of a track sound all funky... and then I bring it back to normal quickly...... |

i like to cut the bass between track a and b on beat... eq all the way up, other one all the way down, switch em back and forth with the beat... i tend to do this right before a breakdown to add a little suspense. works really good if one of the tracks has a hoover bassline (brings the hoover in and out)
