you're right. the gf's are always EXPECTING the huge walgreens teddy bear, chocolate, dinner, flowers, like a pampering day.. doesn't the bf take you out to eat all the time anyway? jeez. i think bfs aren't appreciated on vday, so that's why IM cooking & on an other day (suggested by sushi) i'll take him to the dinner ;) |

My BF and I are going out to the Fairmont Banff Springs for a night this weekend (so as to avoid the rush etc.). Fairmont Lake Louise has the ice sculpture displays and there are horse drawn carriages that go around the lake and into the mountains... so we'll do that :)
We say it's for Valentines, but it's pretty much a celebration of first semester being done for the both of us and our schedules being clear for once.

I am really lucky to live so close to such an incredibly beautiful place.
Basically, Valentines day is just a reminder to us that we should do something new and fun. We don't do the whole roses and teddy bear thing... we would rather go some place or do something new together (as a joint effort... not one of us being spoiled and the other spending a ton of money). Not to mention that it helps boost up all of the love chemicals :)
I might post pics from my camera afterward. In the Rockies, it's almost impossible to take a bad photo. |
