Anyone Ever Install Logic 8/9 Pro on a Pc through VMWare or any virtual os environment. I have a well equipped pc, and wanna run logic 9 pro through a virtual environment. Just wondering if anyone has done it, and if so, how is the performance? Hardware issues? Thanks.

i suggest to skip this. ive never tried it on a mac but you will probably have hardware problems with soundcards and mididevices and what not. also routing of your USB-ports and firewire ports might be an issue, and ofcourse performance will be worse. Besides Logic only works on Mac, your talking about PC which makes me wonder you are doing the Hackintosh thing... goood luck lol. Its doomed.

ive tried both wmware and hackintosh, separately attempts though, both went to hell on their each crazy way. from that experience i just knew theres was no point of trying them together lol, eventhough negative * negative = positive but mathematicians know nothing about real life or computers. i ended up just buying a mac and stopped ing around with . since then everythings been awesome.

+1. Use logic on a mac and cubase on a PC. Trying to fudge it is just a headache and not worth the effort.

Even if you got it all to work, the performance would horrible.

You will run into probs and the performance wont be good enough once you start building tracks up even if you got it working. That said if you really want to use a pc/laptop either build a hackintosh rather VM Find out what models have worked for people and run it that way. Youtube can help you there.

In the past I've tried logic on a hackintosh and it worked great to be honest but at the end of the day it to test out or mess about. If you wanna get serious just get the real think as the little problems that crop up wastes more time trying to fix and leaves less time for creating music.
