not a fan of tiesto, however i think thats a really cool idea!! a world headliner DJ spinning beats all day at a waterpark and schlitterbahn nonetheless!

Think I might drop by this. I can go check it out while I visit my family in the Valley.

Ya he is the only dj besides deadmau5 who tries to charge at least $50 a ticket just for a set in a ing club...i pay that much for massives but to see tiesto..nah....such a great idea i just wish the promoter was a guy who knew his trance and wasnt trying to make some dough...

calling all candy kid e-tards "waterpark rave"

LOL, my thoughts exactly... There is no way anyone can possibly enjoy Tiesto unless they are on alot of drugs, and are to busy glowsticking to notice the music. Not that there is anything inherently wrong with glowsticks, I like to break out mine every now and then.... After Kaleidoscope and the colab with Flo Rida, I have NO respect for anything Tiesto will do in the future.

Kids these days.... But hey man when I first got into EDM I was the same way, although I grew out of listening to complete in a few months. In the end, to much chem enhanced action takes a toll on you

hahahahahaha nice finishing touch with the e-tard smiley face icon...but you also said something very true and that is that tiesto is the necessary evil which provides a gateway from the mainstream to true edm...and ya i was sucked into the dance world the same way

I have seen Tiesto 3 times. Once in Dallas summer of '08 for his In search of sunrise tour, was pretty cool for what it was, hardly played any of his music just a lot of stuff off that CD. Next at Ultra in '09 and that was pretty ing awesome, a lot of his older stuff with a good selection of new tunes (I will never forget the crowd response to Richard Durand's 'Into Something'). Lastly was when he came to Dallas last October...I bought my ticket before I heard Kaleidoscope...I thought he played some okay tracks, he really bounced around the genres and finished off with trance. He really only played 8-10 trance songs. But those tracks that were good did not make up for all the ty tracks. I will not pay for a Tiesto event again. Too much money, too crowded, & lack of good tunes.

I feel like Tiesto is in a transition still. I have heard a couple tracks from him that I have liked recently, but all the poppy stuff is to me. If he could just skip the pop and go straight to electro I think he could establish himself in that genre. But regardless he is a sellout.

I agree with most everything said above in this thread. Great idea, I would love to be at a waterpark with some EDM, but not for a Tiesto price.
