I don't mind some of it, seems little bit middle of the road in some places but not too bad.

There are some good tracks on there. It seems like they were intentionally trying to be overly quirky, or something? Overly discordant as well, for some tracks.
Compared to the quality of their previous albums, even the good tracks sort of sound like 'fillers' to me.
I won't be hasty though. It took me 10+ listens of Mezzanine to get into it, and now it's (still) my favourite album of all time. This listen through was essentially as background music, so I'd like to inspect it more closely.
I agree with J1 though, the productions/sound seems to be a little 'thin' for them.
Schadenfreude
this album should not have been done.;)

Are those two songs from the new album? That's not Massive Attack :(

^ This is Massive Attack
Great track, but there are many better tracks they've done.
My personal fav is Group Four from Mezzanine (Elizabeth Frazer from the Cocteau Twins doing the high vocals WOOOOOWWWW).

I didn't want to link something from mezzanine on fear of cliche. 100th window was a logical progression, a new direction, and a more perfect album in my opinion
Damn, I didn't know that.

Official video for Splitting The Atom is out, and it's awesome:

Took me a while to get in here, just want to say Tim Goldsworth *fapfapfapfapfap*
edit // I heard that mix somewhere, can't remember where now

Yeah, it definitely has a moments...but overall, I'm not impressed. Its a decent album, but feels nothing like Massive Attack. Maybe its a grower, but I remember being captured by Mezzanine on my first listen.

I feel the same way, Trace.

Saturday Come Slow is a wonderful track imo. I really like Paradise Circus too. The rest is meh (or maybe a grower as said above).
