Weird Problem With Certain Websites

| Does anyone know what would cause certain pages like gmail and facebook (only two i've noticed) to not work? I can visit facebook.com, but once I put in my email and password I get "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at login.facebook.com." Same with gmail. Everything else seems to be working fine, it's just the sites with logins it seems. Any ideas? I'm using XP and Firefox, although I checked IE and its the same thing there too. |

Is this on your home network, or a work/public network of some kind? If you can visit other sites, but not FB/Gmail, then I'd say that the network admin has blocked them from use.
If you're at home, then I have no idea, unless you've picked up some weird virus that's blocking your access to those sites. |
