I had a Professor who liked to reiterate (he was an old guy) that we, humans, had particular and nearly archetypal dreams of flying and falling because we are basically divergent cousins to birds in the sense that we at some point had to share a common, reptilian ancestor. I always thought that was kind of an interesting thought to roll around in my head.
