OK, first of all...if there's already a post about this, let me know and I'll delete this one... If not, read below...But I think we need more trance DJs in this..
"Pioneer, Beatport, DJ Magazine and Let’s Mix have come together to launch ‘Next Generation DJ’ (NGDJ), a talent competition designed to unearth the next superstar DJ and to give him or her the chance to win a life changing prize!
To win, DJs with the X-Factor will have to demonstrate their skills through several stages of the competition here on letsmix.com. We will be looking for creative music compilation and mixing skills as well as entrepreneurial drive.
Anyone can join, either if you do your mixing on Turntables, CDJ’s, Mixing or Production Software, just record a mix and upload you mix here. If you don’t have the equipment at home, feel free to download our free mixing app here. What are you waiting for? Let’s Mix!"

I'm starting out with that one. If I some how make it to the next round, I'll submit another one.
But yeah, it is kind of late because I just found out about this a couple of days ago but why not see if you can get into the next round with your mix? If you join, let me know and I can rate yours, too. :) But even if nothing happens and no one gets to the second round, this still "looks" like a great place to store your mixes. A lot of DJs are posting more than one mix but only using one in the competition. And it's still a great promotion tool, ether way you look it. People WILL listen to your mix on this one! A lot more than most edm message forums where no one even takes a look at your mix.... And since I love sharing music and my art, this is great! I've been having fun, not only sharing my 90s trance mix, but also listening and judging other people mixes, too! Though, I've been very nice in the judging part on some of the mixes. Maybe some of you guys will join! But ether way, be sure to check my mix out and give it a rate. :) ......I hope there's not another thread on this.... |
