The actual conference: Is it worth it?

I'm really considering going to the conference, since I'm not really big on day time parties. Has anyone gone? Would you recommend it? Is the price worth it? What all do you get for the cost?

| The conference itself has gotten smaller and smaller. The sessions are great but if you are interested in the tech then the expo in san diego is more appropriate. |

| As much as I love the tech aspect, I'm honestly more interested in the production work-shops. I'm heading into production by the summer and need all the help I can get! |

| ah ok. They have a lot of ableton sessions - I am not a fan of producing through it but still fun to learn. They also have some protools or reason sessions. I like Cubase but dont remember them there. But yea PVD or whoever they get shows you some production technique and its pretty neat. Not sure how many they will have this time though cause as mentioned its smaller every year sadly. |

I'll probably do most of my production through Ableton until I go out to California for the summer and work in a real studio (I'm sure they use Logic).
How come the conference gets smaller every year? Doesn't the overall attendance of WMC keep growing? |

| attendance does but most dont pay to attend the workshops and so they have cut back on them. it used to be all about the conference and networking but its the events now that attract people. |

I hear ya. All you needed to do is resize really. Whatever you had in there content wise was fine.
