Andy Cato - Recently discovered his Weekend Players and Caia productions, plus he makes some pretty funky stuff with Groove Armada. I'd want to learn his secret to such great chilled and down tempo tracks.
Ferry - Always liked how he just did his own thing with productions and comes up with some out there productions. |

presumably you're aware of big c & qattara stuff he participates in too? If so, good choice :p
The original question is a hard one for someone like myself who likes many styles, I could say the ravey sounds from the prodigy, the orchestral masterpieces of hybrid, the trance or chilled stuff from solar fields, the techno/techtrance/trance from Oliver Lieb etc. It's such a big spectrum to just pick one.
However, and it's not 'electronic' per se, I'd love to learn guitar so anything like zeppelin, iron maiden etc would be good to learn from. It's also a cop out of having to pick an EDM artist over another :p |
