Why are you desperate? Is your life going to end unless you collect 10 awesome tracks before the end of the day or something?

There is a lot of this kind of music around, you will get bored with it very quickly, I can assure you.

Here:

go to beatport.com, search through the psy-trance section. pick out songs you like, and buy them. sounds like you want us to do all the work for you?

Well..., really, I've been listening to psy trance (all electronica for that matter) for a long time and (and hence have made heavy attempts to scout out what I asked about) but I hardly ever hear magical tracks after sifting through huge volumes of stuff.

It's usually too stale with nothing particularly special going on (pretty good if you haven't built up a high tollerence or for specifically slowing-down/filler, but not enough if you are a knowing/milaged one). Practically its usually at the lowest possible level/dimension of psychedelikness.

It's usually not quirky enough. If it's quirky its usually not harmnonic not refined just right to make the quirkness sound pleasant rather then annoyingly harsh. I want to hear laser sounds, beeps and bops, shearing/ripping sounds, etc, *on top of the standard melody and base elements*. Like it should be messed up, dark, sinister, evil sounding but yet still smooth and not harsh.

I'm already burned out on Astral Projection - not that this is meant as an example of what I was talking about in the previous 2 paragraphs, just making the point that I'm looking for *this* specific sound/evolution of psy.

That being said, I will glady follow any leads you 2 have given. Thank you.

Yes I regret I have this weakness/sin. Point taken:happy2: I'm dying of aural boredom please, if you know track names off the top of your head - you know personal favourites, the best of the best, the ones in your regular rotation, do tell.

Now off to beatport, but I shall return expecting answers. :haha:

taking the time to describe it a bit helps. I dunno if its what you're looking for, but I've really become a big fan of Vibrasphere the past couple years. Sorta inbetween trance and psy, often has a 303 acid sound going, which I LOVE.

but odds are good that if you've been searching and are coming up empty, a lot of other people are too. see my thread about Beatport's quality control... i've gone through almost 9000 tracks on there (in the progressive house genre), and have found only about 30-40 worth buying. tons and tons and tons of sheer garbage and copycat tracks...

I apologise, I assumed you were new to psy. Did any of the tracks I posted tickle your fancy? If so I can narrow down my recommendations and help you find some more stuff.
