I remember seeing this whe it was a just artist impression - has anyone actually used it? An ipad with this could let me make steve jobs even richer.

I would imagine the latency is going to be horriffic though.

I remember seeing a demo with Spectrasonic product and the Iphone as a controller. Was nutty!

i have an ipod touch and use it for heaps of midi control...

touch osc is ing awesome. no latency, fully customiseable patches, it's bloody amazing, and i can't wait to use it on an ipad.. will completely demolish the lemur. :)

i also just got these which just came out.. same deal, they work flawlessly without any noticeable latency... :)

can't wait till the ipad comes out for the midi control.. imagine how many channels you can control... and for touch osc, as i said: will completely destroy the lemur, unless they drop their price to $300 a unit! :)

network latency is around 1ms. Absolutely no problem for a controller. Any midi controller is slower.

thats interesting. would it work with ableton? the iPhone midicontroller thing?

True but isn't it limited to the processing of the information at both ends and there for subject to the limitations of both the hardware and software involved in that process?

I don't think I could think of anything worse than walking up to the booth to see the DJ using an iphone to mix with.

I think I'd feel like I'm getting more of a real performance from a Peter hook set.

I know, it was just a thought that occurred as ableton is used for both!

Wlan is probably not something you want to use on a live gig.
