fill me in natives, and those with info.
seems like a great idea, a chance to dine at some of the best restaurants in nyc, which otherwise i would have absolutely no chance to even get a table...ja ja ja.
but what restaurants to go to
i vaguely remember a stickied restaurants thread, but no longer there.... HALP. |

Well...
It seems as if it has been unstickied. Which I did not do because I am the one who stickied it in the first place. I am searching but I cannot find it. It is possible that the creator of the thread deleted it but I am still searching. If thats the case we can always make a new one. |

I went this past weekend and had an AMAZING time @ Red Cat in Chelsea.
MOst places do a $24 lunch and $35 dinner for 3 courses, but of course that can very a teeny bit.
This website is the best, they display all the restaurants that are participating, their menu's for the week, what times each restaurants will serve (some only do brunch, others do dinner 4 days a week, etc....).
You can also put in the keyword search what *type* of food you are looking for so it narrows it down (ie: me and my man searched for New American, because thats what we were in the mood for....)
hope this helps!

I think either GHB or barosoap started the thread, it could be possible whoever started the thread deleted it. We should def start a new restaurant thread, I volunteer to keep it organised.
About restaurant week, yankeebaby posted the main site for it, you can make your reservations from this website or Opentable
As far as recommendations go, I went last Restaurant Week for lunch to Nougatine and it was awesome, Jean Georges also has a Restaurant Week menu but it's more expensive (not by much). |

Nobody is twisting your arm to contribute, you can always leave that to people who want to. |

this might be one of those times where I'm interpreting your response as being a bit bitchy but I'll explain myself with the hopes that you misunderstood why I wrote that.
our mod has no idea why the thread was moved (archived / graveyard) and I'm merely pointing out that after all the contribution of the thread for it get moved (not by z) to the archives/graveyard simply supports our mods reasoning of not knowing why it was moved either, aka it was an active thread with a surplus of information.
then again, maybe you just like throwing out random from your mouth cuz i think i contributed a healthy amount to the previous thread.
edit//
you might want to save those sneer remarks for newbs who ain't been around, just saying they're more susceptible to receiving them without retorting. |
