i remember in 07 they had a HUUUUGE glitch. if you added one event to your cart, then added another, the second event would have the price of the first. if you then added a third, it would have the price of the second. you could even add a $10 event to your cart, then add a $50 event, delete the $10 event and get your $50 event for $10. although i didnt figure that last part out until after i bought my tickets.
i ended up buying pvd space tickets for like $20 when they were $70 or some ... actually just checked the info... i got $250 worth of tickets for $100.
i was a bit afraid they might catch on when i went through willcall, but nope, not a problem. even the printout receipt had the right amounts on it even though i was charged way less to my credit card.
:toothless |
Lol, nice. They are trying to recoup their losses through shipping charges now! haha |

willcall 95% of the time is not an issue.
the three times its been an issue for me (all in miami)...
1. vagabond for lee burridge... i forgot my credit card like an ass... got in anyway because i had the printout. door guy gave me a hard time but i had my id, the printout, everything else, so he let it slide. dont count on that happening though.
2. lmr party wmc05. went to the door, i wasnt on the willcall list. didnt have my printout. had to run home (i only live a few blocks away) and print it out. went back, not an issue once i had the printout.
3. dj mag pool party wmc09. again wasnt on the willcall list, but had the printout and everything with me. the door guy looked over and over and couldnt find me. i had just come from picking up other tickets that i did pickup for and there i was in the system for the dj mag pool party. the guy finally gave up looking cuz i had the printout anyway and the line was super long.
so even when its an issue.. ive never missed a show cuz of it.
willcall is safe enough and thats what i always do and will always continue to do. id rather save the $12 and buy myself a drink with that.

I am trying to order a lot of tickets from club space and it is not letting me do that. Only one club space order at a time. Even if I try to put two different types of tickets for the same even like 12am and 2am tickets it still will not let me. This is an obvious bug in your checkout system and it needs to be forwarded off to your internal web technical department. Quit getting defensive and try and help me solve the problem so I do not have to waist an additional $48 on shipping. This is a time sensitive issue because the clubs tend to raise their prices rather quickly.

Your statement does not appear true. I cannot order two different tickets for the same promoter.

Hi
It has nothing to do with us as promoters have chosen to each use their own
credit card processing company. This only allows for events by the same promoter
to be purchased together.

I would have no problem with the store or will call if it worked well but it
does not. I have never seen a good will call or a the wantickets store do well
during WMC. It was not this way last year either. I combined all the tickets I
wanted on the same order.

Hi
Unfotunately, the orders for certain events cannot be combined as each promoter
uses a different credit card processor. Our system will not permit us to
combine
orders and ship them together either. If you do not wish to pay for shipping
twice you may pick uo the tickets at our store in Miami throughout WMC week or
you may pick up the tickets at will call.

| Greedy. They were already getting $12 to ship a couple pieces of paper per order. |

| out of curiosity a few weeks ago I asked if it was possible to ship my orders together I had for pickup in miami. they said they could ship the tickets but all orders had to be shipped individually. all they do is put it in a fedex 2day envelope. |

I got a reply this morning and it appears they fixed the bug for club space events. The reply made it seem like the problem never exsisted and I did not know how to use my web browsers back button but at least it works. I don't think they are going to concider surfcomber and space the same club.
I am guess the explanation is true since I understand credit card processing. It would then be understandable why they would have to ship seperately since in order to be protected they would need a different tracking number. It's just a shame wantickets changed their billing format. So basically we pay them fees for them to accept zero risk. |

I think they changed billing format so the club takes all of the risk and not wantickets. Once you form a pseudo monopoly you have the power to force your customers into crap like that. Of course I am speculating but it's an educated guess |

| its still a crock of . this is why i always do willcall. they arent gonna get my extra money, cuz those $12 really add up when you think about how many orders they must ship out and the actual cost of shipping they pay. its ing robbery. |

I'm not on wantickets side on this but they ship them using fedex 2day air express envelopes. Get a shipping estimate from fedex.com. Of course they get a discount but it's not that much. My guess is they pay $10 per shipment bit they could also be losing money. I ship a lot of packages each week and I don't get a rate close to that |

oh i didnt know they shipped like that. well thats kind of not too customer service friendly to be honest. i run a part time amazon.com store and i try to keep my shipping costs as low as possible, not only for my customers, but mainly for myself since the amazon.com shipping credit is determined by amazon and not me. since wanttickets is only shipping out small pieces of paper it might behoove them to come up with a better method of shipping. its not like they couldnt technically cancel a ticket barcode if a shipment gets lost and resend the tickets in question if they just used regular mail.
in comparison, i recently ordered tickets to the sony ericsson tennis tournament in miami and 3 days after i ordered the tickets i had them in hand. how did it come? in a regular white envelope. and thats a pretty big tournament so i imagine they must send out quite a lot of tickets, and tickets that are a hell of a lot more expensive than a $20 club ticket.
but i guess thats their choice on how they want to do business, it just sucks because the cost is ultimately dumped on us, their customers. and it really sucks to add $12 to each ticket you're buying. its not like its not expensive enough as it is, especially with the service fee increase wanttickets seems to have done over the past year. |
