After all the effort of making a tune, how do folks then name it, especially if it's an instrumental?
Im a bit stumped on this at the moment. |

| i usually name the first thing that comes to mind after listening to it, sometimes i have a idea of atmosphere that particular tune creates in my head so then i might google a few keyterms and see if anything interesting comes up if nothing than slap untitled to it and move along :tongue3 |

| Good question. Most of my songs have vocals and the lyrics are written by the singers, so they decide the song title (sometimes with my input). I find it as hard to come up with song titles as it is for me to write lyrics - i.e., I'm bad at both! |

| I try and pick a name before starting the track and make the track into something that fits the name, if i cant come up with something i have to name them afterwards. |

| I've kept a running list of potential names for years that I periodically refer to. I've also used episode names from various favorite TV Series, its a good source of names. |

| second worst part of the job. worst part is artist name. i think i need to start to use more samples from other stuff so i can use a name that has to do with the sample. |

I often use samples and stuff in order to make a connection to the track name. |

Oh yeah, Im going to be stuck on this too
Every name I have come up with, I try it on myspace and someone else has had my idea before me- how dare they? Even using my real name is a no go, because its already used by one of my many namesakes!
Damn it, Im going to call my first song something totally random like "the sausage song"- What would you think if you saw that listed on beatport? :eyespop: |

I named one of mine ' Ground White ' ,simply because before I rendered it, I had a lovely meal and sprinkled it with pepper.
