[Review] Marco V - 2.5.10 - Pacha

I guess I'll start?

First, I want to say awesome job to Massive for once again being able to pack out Pacha and for bringing someone like Marco V who hasn't been here since Avalon (I think 2005 or 06??).

Really great to see Harji & Watson tear it down as the first DJs to go on. Eco was doing a sick job as well with a wicked mashup to start things off.

For those who didn't know, I never got to see Marco V because I got kicked out of the club for attempting to get on the Mezzanine. It's ing amazing how Pacha decided to make a rule about not letting anyone upstairs with sneakers and/or without button down shirts.

My friends and I came in before 11PM ready to enjoy a night upstairs with bottle service; celebrating an upcoming release for a label and this bitch outside tells me since I'm wearing sneakers, I have to be placed downstairs on the first floor to have my service. Not only that, but my friends and I had to leave that designated area by 1:30. We bought two bottles which was over $400.

It's quite outrageous and I know it's not Massive's fault in any way, shape, or form. But that was some bull. I know some people spending over $1000 that night only to be placed downstairs because they aren't wearing the proper attire to be upstairs. Who ing knew they care more about a dresscode than money??

I'm apparently not allowed to come back to Pacha. And for someone like me, it's very hard to forget how I look. So if I come back, I think I'll be recognized. Maybe it's time to lose some weight so they don't remember me :p

Someone tell me how Marco V was. I can only assume it was nasty
DJ Eco
Dude ^^^ that's ridiculous... I heard you got kicked out, but didn't know all of that... Wow... In this economy, I don't know how any clubs are still pulling that kinda ... Sorry to hear, man :(

Harji/Watson ripped it up! Marco V ripped it up! I've been battling a terrible cold all week, and last night was no exception, so I ended up leaving early around 230, unfortunately...

Here's my tracklist from as much as I can remember!

1. Lo-Step - Burma (Martin Roth NuStyle Bootleg - Eco Edit)
2. Atlantis Ocean - Life Frequency
3. Matt Darey pres. Urban Astronauts feat. Kate Louise Smith - See The Sun (Moonbeam Remix)
4. Pulser - Sunseeker (Vocal Mix)
5. L.A.V.I. - Mui Mal, Animal (Planisphere Remix)
6. Rone - Flesh (Sasha Invol2ver Remix - Eco Edit)
7. Marco Bailey vs. Tom Hades - Inner Soul
8. Glenn Morrison - Orange Glow (Robert Babicz Spaceship Remix)
9. Breakfast & Marcus Schossow - They Came For Us
10. Marcus Schossow - A New Beginning
11. Andy Duguid feat. Julie Thompson - Falling
12. Late Night Alumni - Finally Found (Eco Remix)
13. DJ Eco - Song Of Innocence (Martin Roth & Paris Nova Remix)
14. Makotrax - Homeward (Breakfast's Campfire Remix)
15. Gui Boratto - No Turning Back

Mike... aaaaargh. *HUGS* that will never make the vaguest semblance of sense. I'm so sorry that happened.

Harji & Watson were good on first opening duties; from Marcello, See the Sun, Song of Innocence, and Finally Found were standouts to me.

I have to say, I liked Marco's set but it didn't keep my attention all the time. Go fig. Unprepared was good to hear live-- and hearing Music Matters was NASTY.

Tom dropping Cosmic Gate - Melt to the Ocean at the very, very very end was the OH song of the night for me. Maybe it was the exhaustion starting to talk. I'm pretty sure I ran around screaming something like OLD-SCHOOL COSMIC GATE WHOOOOO

long story short: overall, danced so hard that I have a couple of blisters from comfortable dance sneakers. I'd call that a success.

I had a blast... was a little bit too preoccupied to go meet up in front of the dj booth at 1 am, dont even know if anyone ended up doing it or not. Hajri and Watson opened it up pretty well, they dropped one of my favorite songs of all time, Grindhouse. Eco came on, and had the place going nuts. I thought it would be a good idea to climb up the front of the dj booth when Eco was on, haha. Marco V did a sick job too. I do not know many of his tracks, but enjoyed the set as a whole. Had to leave a little bit before Marco V got off, so I missed the ending. I always seem to have a good time at Pacha, cant really complain.

just read your story, makes me sick, that the "#1" club can still act like that.. pretty sad i guess its only "usa" clubs that offer service like this.. i have friends in .au and abroad and from what they tell me they never see this kind of service

thenadz
been going to pacha for 2 years, this was my first time doing VIP. we were in the mezz, then asked to leave the mezz... then my boyfriend got attacked by two idiots, lost his wallet in the scuffle, and the bouncers kicked HIM out at 1:45. after an hour of talking/yelling at the bouncers outside, a manager walked me down to coat check to get our stuff and asked me to leave and "take my drama outside".

eff pacha. i always wondered why people hated it so much, now i know.

Big Mike, just get booked there, easy way to get back in!
