I just couldn't get into either. The graphics were really poor, I was half expecting that due to them being old games. But it just goes to show how much more advanced the visuals have become of the last few years.

Prey was confusing straight from the off and extremely dated. I haven't really played this much, so I'll give it another go.

Condemned was absolutly awful. Really bland gameplay and one of the worst combat systems I have ever played with. And thats not taking into account the tedious detective moments.

I remember playing the demo of Prey on 360 almost...4 years ago. I can't believe it's been that long, but I remember absolutely loving the game. It had a lot of crazy level design, and it had that old Duke Nukem-type humor all over the place. (I think 3D Realms was involved with that game if I'm not mistaken)

But I'll agree with you on Condemned...I didn't like that game one bit. I only gave it a single shot for a few minutes, so maybe my opinion is unjust, but it didn't meld with me at all.

Youre both idiots :p

Condemned graphics were decent (at least on the PC version) and the combat is easily the best melee combat ive experienced in a computer game.

Well lemme just say that I played the 360 version...and it was on a non-HDTV...so maybe my experience wasn't what it was supposed to be. The PC always gets the better of the deal and I would imagine Condemned would be no exception.

dude, go get Bioshock 1. I think it might be a bit better, and has a better story. You don't start as a big daddy in the 1st.

My recommendation is Mass Effect 2. Completely addicted to this game and it's heaps better than the first. No more tedious boring quests, superb voice acting and of course a great story. Google "jack" and check her out.

capitalizt has already played the original ;)

im waiting on mass effect & bioshock to drop in price before i play them. i found ME1 rather lacking and im doubtful that bioshock 2 will capture me the way the first one did.

The second one doesn't have the same sense of mystery as the first, but you visit completely new territory (no locations from the first game), so it's still amazing to explore Rapture. I recommend listening to all of the audio diaries when you play through because the story is still great. I also love the combinations you can do with plasmids.. You can use the level 3 cyclone "trap" plasmid to put whirlwinds on the walls and ceilings..then use any other plasmid of your choice to "arm" the traps for extra effects. I'd line up a few floor cyclones in thin corridors, ignite them with fire, throw a few proximity mines on the ceiling, then lure the splicers through. Hilarity ensued. For one glorious second you see them scream, burst into flame, and fly towards the ceiling..then be blasted back down by the mine. :wtf: The other upgrades were awesome too. You can ignite an entire room with one shot of the upgraded fire plasmid..and Telekenesis 3 is powerful enough to pick up live enemies and throw them as weapons.:D It also makes it easy to suck those damn security bots towards you and hack them to turn them friendly. Hacking is also MUCH better in this game than the original..No more puzzles, just a timing game..and each hack takes less than 10 seconds.

Overall you feel like an epic badass once you get the upgraded weapons and plasmids. By the end your character really has a sense of power that blows away the first game.

Hint: Don't harvest little sisters right away. If you adopt them, they will guide you around the level to a few corpses and extract extra Adam from you. Wait till she gets loaded up from two bodies, THEN harvest the little bitch and you'll get tons more! :D Don't worry about getting the 'bad' ending. It's still pretty damn cool in my opinion, and you can always watch the good ending on Youtube if you choose.
