It's because of norons like her that nobody will take homeopathic or naturopathic medicine seriously. Stupid bitch. |
homeopathy is absolute bull.
its statistically almost impossible for there to be ANY active ingredient left in the "medical essences" they pedal as real treatment. Any person who belives the fundamental statement of homeopathy that "water has memory" should be taken out back, beaten with a dull rake, thrown in a wood chipper and the pieces dumped in the pacific ocean.
naturopathic medicine at least has some scientific basis to it, although you cant shave your legs or armpits AND use naturopathic medicine at the same time.... |

apparently in homeopathy the more you dilute something, the more potent it is lol. There was this experiment that went on in britain where they used snake poison homeopathic pills that were extremely diluted where 1 pill was suppose to cure something. I cant remember what it was. Then these protestors against homeopathy took the whole bottle of pills and swallowed it to prove that its complete bull.
Mark don't tell trina i said that btw hehe.
anyways homeopathy is a farce. Its just as valid as modern day religion. It serves well as a placebo.
ill have to find information on that protest.
and jenny.. tsk tsk im disapointed in you. Just when you tell me zeitgiest is fake you start pumping homeopathy :haha: |

since the least amount of a substance in a solution is one molecule, a 30C solution would have to have at least one molecule of the original substance dissolved in a minimum of 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 molecules of water. This would require a container more than 30,000,000,000 times the size of the Earth.

for the record, zeitgeist is bull
as for Trina, she is one of my best friends and has been for years but there are some things we just dont talk about to avoid major arguments (that i win) politics, religion and homeopathy..... |

I'm not pumping homeopathy, I'm advocating alternative medicine. There's enough research that proves the biomedical model of medicine isn't enough to facilitate complete wellness. And while homeopathy is nothing more than placebo, so what? The mind body connection cannot be denied, and I see nothing wrong with placebo as treatment if it that's what gets some people results. Of course it has to be implemted ethically, but still.
My issue is that because of people like that quack, legitimate alternative treatments get viewed all in the same light. |

while i agree with your point, the placebo effect is well documented, i don't appreciate when people use pseudo science to legitimize a form of treatment which is nothing more than placebo.

I know the placebo effect has been well documented, that wasn't really what I meant, but w/e. I shouldn't have even included homeopathy in my initial post, lol. |

i wasn't really trying to be that much of a dick, i couldn't resist the opportunity to be the first to migrate the batman slap out of the batman slap thread.
