i heard that the event has recently been permanently moved to the Molson Amphitheatre .. <--- spelt rite ?
anyways .. yah so i hope that helps ..

WEMF and Area One do not compare.
Area One may be a good CONCERT but WEMF is one of the biggest events of the summer and has been for years.
I say screw this corporate wanna be rave and support the scene! Dance under the stars not in the Ford Focus arena.
Go to WEMF you'll regret it if you don't!

| T2B has a point. WEMF has 100s of djs, all spinnin' the music we all know and love...i don't want to see nelly furtado or incubus doing their thing. the only ppl i'd be interested in are maas, cox, and oakie...3 vs 100s...hmm... |

Oakenfold would never open for Moby. The Area One shows are going to be broken down into two different stages, with Oakey, Cox, and the other djs on one, and the mainstream acts, including Moby, Outkast, and Incubus on the other.
Moby sucks a righteous amount of ass by the way. What a flake. |

| this doesn't look that appealing to me anymore. WEMF, here i come! as a matter of fact, if oakie, cox, maas, etc. are gonna be in TO on that july 22nd sunday, most likely, some of them will hopefully be at WEMF prior to that as well, we can at least cross our fingers!! |

apparently this person never listened to techno in the early 90's.
i admit that moby is e now, but never say the man sucks ass.
for one thing, he spun with sven vath a lot, and was an amazing techno spinner.

yeah this is true! i hope so. that would kick ass. :) that way it'll be a combination show so to speak. :D :D :D that way i don't have ta go to the other one with moby and have maas, cox, and oakie @ WEMF. |

Moby does not suck. He is a very versatile musician, and sure if his style does not agree with your tastes, that's fine, but you shouldn't say he 'sucks'. Not only is he a talented musician, but he's quite intelligent and articulate as well. Read some of the essays he includes with his albums for an example of this.. I think some are available online on a friend's webpage (http://fysx.acwu.com under writings, at the bottom of the page).
Regardless, it should be a very interesting show, just on the basis that there are so many different genres of music playing there.

Hmmmm, what to do, what to do?
AREAONE:
-bull corporate sponsorship
-sick lineup: CCox, Maas, May, Incubus, Moby
-Clean facilities, close to home, close to my clean soft bed, my shower, my car, food, water etc.
WEMF:
-true party & dance spirit free of the corporate and club bull
-3 days of going ballistic with thousands of like minded people
-insane lineup bringing up all kinds of talent and musical styles
-dirt, filth, hard ground, tents, no water, no food for 3! days
-wild drug phazed kids puking and stumbling around and polluted field
-happy hardcore
-the great possibility that I will be the one getting too ed and getting lost in the woods for hours
Eeeeeeeek
What to do?
Both have crazy such intense lineups. |
