Nice beginning but some sample elements muddy the mix. Intro of more melodic elements lacks harmonic cohesion but I like the possibilities for development of the plucked lead - very busy but could be cool.

Major chord stabs a little high and cliche' - need development.

Break from 3:30+/- on a harmonic cluster - great ideas but they need finesse. I like the bass tone during that portion and the build up to the re-launch has some great ideas.

At 5:05, I am done with it - this tune shows a lot of potential and I love the fact that you're not afraid to work with a little harmonic dissonance - unfortunately, it makes the tune sound like it was comprised of pre-fabricated MIDI tracks pulled out of a folder marked '80s Dance Club and indiscriminately mashed together regardless of their somewhat less than sympathetic keys.

EDIT: I have to admit, however, the rhythm of this tune is it's strongest point and, unlike the most recent submission by Yours Truly, has good progression.

Thank you SOMEONE for finally understanding the use of dissonance. All the other idiots on other forums I posted it up on didnt get it. To bad for them. Some of them even had record deals... how sad. As far as "new and innovative sounds" go my budget is kinda restricted to what came stock on logic.... =-(

fund me =-)

It's a poor workman who blames his tools.

Click that tape in my signature and scroll down to the players - I've done more, better, with less. Logic is one of the top sequencers out there, and far better than Project 5 (I just switched to Sonar). Project 5 is Cakewalk's discontinued version of Fruity Loops that wanted to be Ableton Live.

Every song posted on there has been made using a combination of Project 5 and Reason 3, along with some additional plug-ins, listed below the players. Making music is hard. While your effort is notable with some really good ideas, don't excuse poor performance for the fact that you're stuck with a top of the line DAW and its stock instruments.
