| I've set up a script to automatically shut down my PC and force applications to close in the process. In the case of utorrent, will forcing it to close when the PC automatically shuts down cause any damage to the files I'm downloading at the time? |

really it depends on how often you've set the disk cache to, for example if it wrote the data downloaded in 10mb chunks, you would lose them. however you wouldnt want to set it to like 10kb intervals as that would shorten the HD life significantly lol
utorrent does some sort of integrity check on all partially downloaded torrents in such event anyway |

| you might lose a small amount of data, but when utorrent restarts it will check the files and anything that went wrong will be redownloaded |

That's what I was hoping for. As long as nothing corrupts overall I'm happy. |

Torrents do very good error checking, unless the original data is corrupt you are more than likely gong to get it error free. |
