Mixed and compiled by Justin Vandervolgen from New York. The idea here is that he edited and mixed a bunch of obscure disco and funk tracks and threw them in this mix. "Try To Find Me" is almost a challenge to the listener to figure out what the songs are, especially with titles like "you know that one song that's all "boom tss boom tss" with the keyboard?" and my personal favorite "means it much". This is a GREAT cd, bought it a few days ago and it has been on repeat ever since.
Another great thing is the "liner notes" in the jacket of the cd, "Thanks to anyone that ever helped me ever" and something about "no Ableton and no plugins were used". |
