Ableton Noob Question

Hey guys, i wanna compress/filter all my drums and percussions together mainly to save some cpu, how do i do that? Still i wanna EQ every channel differently. Thanks! |

Uhh, I don't use Ableton but you could try exporting your percussion loops as WAVs and use those instead of the individual samples. You can't EQ them separately like that but you can always do that before exporting the loops. |

Route all you drums and percussions to a bus and put a compressor/filter on that bus - done. However, compressors don't eat that much CPU anyway, so you won't probably notice much differece.

if you use ableton 8 you can right click on a channel and select group channel, then drop all the channels you want to compress into this group channel thats the best way i reckon |
