| We had bathroom stalls that had the little raised wooden bar that ran across the top (why did they put those on there?). We'd climb up on top of the stalls and try and piss from the top of the stalls across the gap in the room into the urinals. :p |

After conferring with prosecutors, the juveniles were charged with the two felony counts.

This is going to sound wrong, but this countries views on sex and children are so far from being sane that it just boggles the mind.
They are charging children with exploiting themselves... :wtf:
This is beyond sane. Christians, Muslims, no difference. Their views on sex are horribly warped. |

Seriously though, this just bugs the hell out of me. Who didn't play doctor or do stupid when you were young? Its just the fact that there is easy media to record those activities on. Its like these people forget that they are kids just messing around. Now they will be treated like sexual deviants their whole life.
Sex crime law in this country is beyond stupid. Its cruel and unusual punishment in my opinion. Because of the social taboos on sex in this country crimes that are relatively harmless compared to full on rape and murder can stick you with basically a life sentence. Public urination and you can become a sex offender and there is usually little legal recourse. That is beyond insane. |

Perhaps a misconduct charge would be more appropriate, but felony accounts for child pornography!? That's ed up.
As for the original story... I think that schools are grasping at anything to assert authority. Kids these days are often out of control, very difficult to keep focused and have no respect for their teachers etc. With that being said, I would imagine that they take any opportunity to "make an example out of them" whenever they can. In this case, it's certainly overboard, but I can kinda understand why it would have happened. |
