Canadian Funkpresario NuFunk.ca is proud to bring you the third slammin' edition of Toronto's funkiest winter music celebration -- the NUFUNK FESTIVAL! As always, the 2010 NuFunk Festival promises a dance-floor rockin' mix of the new sounds you need to hear and old friends you can't resist -- with an emphasis on the funkiest music this great city and country have to offer!

Highlights are:

* Fri Feb 26 @ Supermarket -- The Festival launch party features legendary UK producer and master remixer Nostalgia 77 (Tru Thoughts Records) who's worked with soul/jazz greats such as Quantic and Alice Russell. Essential T.O. party rockers General Eclectic and John Kong warm up the decks.

* Thu Mar 4 @ The Rivoli -- The incomparable rock/jazz/jam eclectic stew of The Sisters Euclid, led by one of Canada's greatest guitarists Kevin Breit (Norah Jones, Supergenerous, Harry Manx) with appetizers from pan-Canadian groove collective High Plains Drifter.

* Fri Mar 5 @ Revival -- For the second straight year, Ottawa's incredible 8-piece Afro/funk/highlife crew The Souljazz Orchestra (Strut/!K7)will be dropping a new CD -- their fourth full-length "Rising Sun"-- as part of the Festival; with the delicious global dub/fusion of Dub Monkey starting things off and DJ John Kong fillin' up the room.

* Sat Mar 6 @ Lee's Palace -- The Festival wraps up in true NuFunk style with The Big Boogie, as the Make It Funky crew welcomes two of NuFunk's closest friends God Made Me Funky and King Sunshine. This special night is sponsored by Engineers Without Borders and a portion of proceeds will go to support the organization's vital development work in Africa. This will be the first time that Toronto's top funk bands share the same stage!

NuFunk gratefully acknowledges the assistance of our sponsors and supporters: Fusicology, Eye Weekly, Moog, Slinky, Do Right! and Right On Media, ComPosition, Long & McQuade, Dose, Ducktape, Tribe.ca, 360 Degrees Artists, Toronto School for the Enjoyment of Music, Smallworld Music, CIUT 89.5 FM, Ticketweb.ca, soulwhat, Jambands.ca and Make it Funky.
