I have to say, after just posting on the andy moor thread about Zack's performance, that this was really the weekend where the NY locals shined.
Brad played an awesome opening set, and for the same reasons I described previously in the Andy Moor thread. His flow was seamless, and his progression of energy set the mood perfectly while creating an enjoyable tension so that by the time Sultan and Ned Shepard got on the crowd was ready to rock. I can say with all honesty I definitely enjoyed Brad's set more than the headliners.
I think its important to remember how lucky we are to have locals here like Brad and Zack who really understand the skill of DJing and what it means especially to create an opening momentum. Both of these guys really stand out as some of our most quality performers, and this kind of skill should not be underrated. |
