I'm very quick and speedy with my reviews..... two weeks later :) lol
Well I'm generally in Montreal once or twice a month, and when I heard about Victor Calderone being at Stereo on the 13th I made sure I was in Montreal for it. However my plans almost were ruined by my friends who suddenly weren't in the mood to go out to Stereo that night. After a bit of persuasion I finally got my boyfriend to come with me :D
We got a hold of some last minute tickets and made our way to Stereo. By the time we got there at about 4am and there was a huge line up outside, but luckily they were letting ticket holders in first. Only had to wait out in the cold for 15 minutes. But the stairs going into Stereo were packed full of people trying to get in through security and coat check. The coat check was a mess, I really hope they sort that out soon, or the weather turns nice soon and then we won't need to worry about it. Anyhow after waiting outside, waiting in the jam packed stair way (which even the Stereo performers had to push their way through to get in) and waiting in coat check we finally got in a little after 5am. I have never seen Stereo so busy. It was nice to see some TA's zeKsg and 84th Ave, always good to see you. A little bit of advertising goes a long way.
The party was going strong, and Victor was giving everyone what they wanted. The crowd and vibe of the night was amazing, great mix of people, more diverse than usual. Or as some of the guys I knew said more girls than usual. I even ran into some friends of mine who are usually worried about going to Stereo because of they gay crowd that goes there. Victor played some great classics, vocal and overall the best that Victor knows how. I'm so glad plans changed last minute to go to Stereo. I left a bit early 9am, because of going out to Bassment before Stereo. Which I have to say I also really enjoyed Angel Moraes, played an amazing set. My boy compared it to Stereobar, in terms of the music and layout of the club, but that's a review for another thread :) I'm already looking forward to going back this coming Saturday for Vibe :) |
