Is this laptop good for producing?

Im using a desktop thinking about upgrading to a newer more powerful laptop.

let me know if this one is good enough i guess ill have to get a better sound card for this one though anyhow check the specs on this one and let me know.

1.3 is pretty weak for processor clock these days and that 12.1 screen is small as well. Can you do it? Probably. Will it be a pleasant experience? Probably not.

Better of upgrading your current PC or ditching that and building your own PC. Not to sure on what amount of cash you have to throw at this but, i'm sure you could buy an off the shelf 'desktop only' (no monitor etc) for a $1000, but then im not sure if that's going to be any better then what you already have. Alternative, save your pennies, if your serious, and make do with what you have til then!

ill probably hold on to what i have for now but when i am ready to upgrade ill build something custom and more powerful.

You can get a much much better Desktop with a monitor included for $1000.

Why are you looking for an Asus anyway? I'm not saying they're bad but still, you might as well go for something a little more popular as it will most likely be cheaper. Hell, a Dell laptop will cost you around $700 then you just have to buy a soundcard and you should be good to go.

Dell are absolutely terrible quality. Asus were generally considered about 10x better, but some people have said that they're not as good as they used to be though. Still be better than a dell tho.
