Well since Wes and I are the only ones who really play Prog in this city. I'm pretty sure Neither of us are opening.
So in that Wes and I should be the only Dj's that open up for Trance show's but were not, so some show;s ebd up being better than others.
My predictions on the opening dj are...
Dj Red
Randall Jones
Joe Dismal
I see one of those 3 opening.
I would like to see Joe Dismal Open to be honest. |
dude i think you are a far better dj than wes. btw i wouldnt mind seeing randall and joe dismal open. btw, when you putting out that sonic sexiness you have pics of on your facebook ?

You and Wes Walz have proven that Houston doesn't need me as an opener. But I would be happy to play out again even if its a patio gig. :) |

Only thing we have proven is that Electro House is not the only Genre of music in this town and that were not followers of certain other dj's that think Electro house is the only style of EDM there is.
And Lizandro, Joe Dismal would be the perfect opener for this show... |

The main thing I can say about Wes is that he has only been play 1-2 years at the most, and is doing a pretty competent job at opening up. Granted he doesn't have the experience that myself or Ben has, but I wasn't playing opening gigs until my 4th and 5th years as a dj |

| "electro house" as a genre.... Always makes me laugh when I hear someone use that term. |

It's a made up genre by a group of DJ's that were on the verge of being irrelevant. The definition is supposed to be house music infused with the deep synth baselines of electro. However, it offers nothing new or evolutionary to EDM or to house music. At best, it is the evolution of Electro only. So is just needs to be called that and stop attempting to be distinguished from Electro.
What's more, Sander is anything but an Electro House DJ. Not really sure if Sander is even confined to a genre labeling. However, if he is, he is what I would call one of the last bastions of pure Progressive House, IMHO. |
