Huh? It might be called Love Evolution now but it's still basically the same thing, and i'm pretty sure they're trying to bring it back.

From Dyloots Bayraves sig:

I'm sure they will. They have a 2010 Facebook page.

But, according to Bill Graham's website, the auditorium will be closed starting March 31. Maybe they'll reopen by then.

Bill Graham's website has said that for a few years now. I think maybe since 2008. Or 2007.

As far as i know LovEvolution (new title blows) was as succesful as ever.. especially because they started charging $10 >:(. I havn't heard anything about it stopping, i'm not sure why it would since its been a tradition in SF for so long.

just to clear the air, the lovevolution event is entirely tentative from year to year. the organizers continue to plan for and push this event every year, but nothing is guaranteed. there is a painstaking process of securing all the city and county permits before anything logistical can even be talked about. there is no reason to believe it's not happening this year, but that is not to say some prick in the political behemoth can't up and decide to stop it from happening down the line. that's why it's important that people don't break glass, od, vandalize, fight or cause any problems because all it takes is one headline to this all up. that $10 btw goes to paying for the six-figure permits, insurance, police and emt overtime, security, event staff, clean up, and the rest goes to non-profit organizations that benefit the community.

i hope it does, it is always a great way to celebrate my birthday every year and always one of my favorite party weekends of the year. so much fun!

i hope it happens again this year, i thought the last one was alot of fun.

as for the ten bucks, i think that is a very very fair price for the festival, it was def worth it.

If you're "concerned" about it not happening this year because you haven't heard anything, then you're ting your pants too early. In years past, they haven't even so much as said a date until at least April or May. Patience.

I'm excited either way. Its the closest to a party in europe in america imo. one of the best parties of the year.
