Does anyone know how this is worked out? Because i work for a work agency, i goto different places for different hours on different wages, so i keep a tab of what i earn and when etc, so i want to add national insurance into my excel spread sheet so i no how much i will be deducted! (I havent earned >£3000 yet so i dont get income taxed)

I think its a certain percent if the wage is >£100 ?

Anyone know?

aye its a percentage of your wage, ask your personnel section or payroll dept and they will tell you how its worked out man

around £3950 is tax free, then anything over that (but not includng that tax free amount) is taxed 10% (i think, it maybe 5) up to about 12 grand, then a bit more percentage (about 10% more) is taxed on that amount over 12 grand, then above 32 grand that is taxed at 40%. hehe

I got no idea how they work it out, but its yet another stupid tax they make us pay, next thing it'll be income tax tax to get more

theres an easy solution to it all

anyone who earns under 50 grand pays no tax

anyone who has more pays some

anyone who has millions pays a lot more

the queen pays more or gets a job

simple :D
