You see how fathers intuition actually exists???
While my wife and I are on vacation in Florida, my mother has my son...
She was planning on going home to Chile with him to intro him to my family...
At the last minute, last week, I told her I didn't want him to go there. Just didn't think it was a good idea...
Now they are at home safe and we can't get a hold of anyone in Chile...
900 times more powerful than Haiti...
But our buildings are made with steel not spit so damage isn't nearly as bad...
78 ppl confirmed dead...
Also, it's causing a tsunami headed for Hawaii right now which is going to hit in a couple of hours...
They should have had plenty of warning...
I hope my family is ok.... |

My best friend is in Santiago right now and we can't get a hold of her. She's been there for close to a year and was supposed to be home already, but she's waiting on a friend's visa to come through so they could come back together - she was going to book her flight home next week if her friend's papers didn't come through by Monday.
I called her parents and they can't reach her either
She doesn't live in Conception (where it apparently hit hardest) but I can't ing shake this horrible feeling. I feel sick. |

I'm pretty sure there world doesn't have a lot of time left...we ed it up in a really bad way :( |

| My mom and brother had just gotten back like a week and a half ago, and a family friend of ours just left at 9 pm last night just a few hours before the quakes. I told them that theyre all lucky to avoid such a huge disaster. We cant get ahold of any of our close friends or family but most of them live in Valparaiso, Rancagua, and Santiago and not in Concepcion. |

LOL the only thing more ed up now compared to the past is that we have 24 hour CNN coverage |

We have ppl in Temuco and Pucon...
Both very close (coupla hours) from Concepcion...
We've heard from Temuco and they're ok but no word from my other Aunt and cousins...
My poor mother is freaking out about her sister...

I understand how we may have an issue with global warming and things like that but earthquakes I'm fairly certain we have no effect on..
