| great game but honestly if luongo wasn't being sloppy it wouldn't have have gone to overtime. either way i'm happy with the game, good hockey and glad the US got a silver. stings now for many but they did much better than anticipated. |

| The only logical maneuver now is to nuke Canada. |

| That was one of the best games I've ever watched. |

I don't think I've ever watched a hockey match in full, not even a period. But the hockey matches at the Olympics got quite the airtime on national television over here and I must say I got hooked. Watched the whole final and sat at the tip of my chair the entire time.
But from what I've heard and read, this was one of the best matches in history, so every match I'll watch from now on will be disappointing..
Oh well. |

What was pretty amazing to me is seeing how nationalism took a sport that pretty much no one gives a about in the states, and made it in to something the whole country was watching. The ratings were very good.
I'll take it. The US hockey program is moving forward, and when/if it starts producing more players from non traditional hockey markets that make it to the nhl and succeed then hopefully the country will really be interested. They beat us at the World Junior Championships this year.
The more parity that there is between the countries of the world in terms of hockey, the better it is for the sport. I still want Ovechkin vs Crosby at Socchi though:p |

+1, this game was incredible. I'm dissapointed by the russians but what can you do unless you're medvedev and demand everyone in charge resign?
even being from ooosa i wanted canada to take the gold given the cirumstances and ridiculous talent going into the game, but as it went on i couldn't help but think miller et all could pull it out. parise's goal was crazy. it was a ing gutwrenching loss, but canada deserved the win.
if it created more fans that's great. it's always good for the sport, and as an aside it would be nice if some ing thing could sort the agreement between comcast and direct tv. i'm tired of of only getting a few (non-avs) games per week without buying center ice. |

| Center Ice is worth every penny if you are the type of fan that wants to watch a lot of it. I get all 82 Habs games for free locally, but i still get Center Ice to try and follow the late games on the west coast. |
