Hey guys,
The other day for some reason (following a cubase crash) the "release asio driver in background" became unchecked? so i couldn't use my pc audio out of cubase unless cubase was closed. So i rechecked it but it didnt work and now sometimes if say i watch a youtube vid with cubase in the background the sound crackles and it sounds all messed up?
Anyone know how to fix
its an EMU 0404 pci card and win xp sp2 cubase sx3
thanks
UPDATE: ok so i tried to rewire reason into cubase and it wont open reason giving the message the reason rewire engine is not responding?
Reason opens ok on its own as does cubase? |

Try re-installing the audio interface driver. There are several occasions where sound can crackle.
1) CPU overload
2) Your hardware (motherboard, sound card) could have been fried (happend to me before)
Check your settings too. Like the 1/2, 3/4 outputs for the interface. |

I get crackles and stuff when I get a little lost in routing say after a crash when trying to re set up. Im on C5.
Best way to solve is ensure the right midi device and setup is present and only use one out of the RME rather than 2 or 3. Also I now turn off the 'studio' in cubase as it was causing hassles. Soundmagnus helped with all this a lot. |
