The hockey season is now over for me anyway.

After watching such great, passionate games over the past two weeks, it's impossible to go back and watch the Rangers, with the likes of Redden, Roszival, Drury, etc...all overpaid slobs.

Zach Parise is one of my favorite NHLers now though and not because of that goal. When they showed the camera after USA lost and were getting the silver medals, you could tell he was really upset. That's being a champion right there- he has a winning attitude and really wanted it...something that few players in the NHL have.

Im truly hoping that this newscast stays LOCAL and no one outside of this country ever sees it. Makes our stereotypes ring true. :nervous:

SERIOUSLY... I was like oh man, this is gunna be all over YouTube tomorrow... Of course it had to be a group of Rangers fans, cheering and in denial... (Sorry Kelly, I'm just getting back into NHL trashtalk mode) haha....

i could say so many things about this comment. i just don't understand "fans" like you because you aren't a real fan of hockey if you think this.

Is it the Chris Drury comment that you don't "understand"?

Because if it is, I'm willing to debate you on his performance. Just keep in mind that it's very, very hard to make a compelling argument in his favor recently.

Thats a little harsh. While I agree that hockey is hockey, it IS a bit depressing for real fans to have some exciting games going on, simply to go back to a team that is playing mediocre at best (and, to be quite honest, the games I have gotten home on time to see, haven't exactly been a rip-roaring-good-time). If this is what osterzone is saying, I agree with him, and I dont think I am any less of a fan for thinking so ;)

LOL. I will be half way there by the summer games. Next winter games I should be both - they make me wait 3 years before I can become a citizen. Double the cheering.. except for Hockey. :)

noting to do with who or is not talented, all about you saying the season is over. if you are a fan of hockey you watch it regardless of who is playing. rangers may not be playing great hockey but teams like the kings and coyotes have turned it a around this season and are legitimate playoff contenders and as always you can expect the sharks to be good. those guys are playing exciting hockey.

there is plenty of good hockey around and if you want to watch a good game it's not hard but it is when the mentality is team first and sport second. imo part of being a fan of a sport is being able to sit there and enjoy those playing it well regardless of who it is. i'm an avalanche fan but a hockey first. i doubt many who think of themselves as fans of the sport would watch belarus-switzerland battle it out for gold. no disrespect i just don't like when people link how their team is doing with the sport as a whole. it's like me saying i was done watching last season because my team sucked, there was still a lot of good hockey around.

with regards to passion and feeling watch the final game of a playoff match-up and you'll see how much those guys want to win.

I never said I was going to stop watching completely.

I'll watch as much of the playoffs as I can, but I don't get the Devils/Islanders up here at my school, nor Versus, so I only get the Rangers.

And the Rangers are having one of their poorest, most boring seasons in a long time. There's really nothing to look forward to being a Ranger fan right now.

(not even the draft...)

Who wants to go to SOCHI for the Winter Games 2014 in Russia?!?!?! I don't go to Ibiza or the Winter Music Conference so I can save money for trips like THAT, and as of now, I have every intention of going haha...
