| trying not to be annoying here, but i was wondering if there's any particular city in the GTA that has a real good techno scene. not the minimal , but balls to the walls, tear your off techno. |

| the cities within the GTA are too close together to each have a unique sound. it would be better if you asked which event promoters would have the sound you are looking for. |

You won't find much in the way of banging Techno in Toronto these days, don't think Rush has been here since the late 90s. My crew plays in that vein (jacking Detroit and Chicago - Techno, House and Electro), but we're hard pressed to find a decent venue (our last one was recently bought out and is now being turned into an indie rock venue...bleagh) and there isn't really the support for big events with this kind of sound at the moment, so we're keeping to house-raves until at least a semi-decent arrangement presents itself.
Just a 4-hour drive to Detroit, which seems to be experiencing a bit of resurgence with venues like 10 Critics. Ben Sims was supposed to have played there last Friday, but got snowed in at New York. Derrick May and Convextion there this Friday. Haven't been, but have been hearing good things. |
