damns, what a KILLER week. I haven't gone back to WMC since 2005 (damns the vibe/everything down there was freakin SIICK)...I'd def like to revisit it at least one more time before complete retirement...maybe next March/during my last semester of Nursing as a way to celebrate, heehee

Can't make it this year but I do have some tips -
- Go to Wet Willy's at some point
- Resist the urge to plan out everything, leave room to discover things
- Bring as much money as you can, but:
- Don't drink too much, there's too many good shows you'll miss while hungover.
- Don't drink too early - you'll fall asleep and miss too many good shows late night.
- When you do drink, drink mojitos!
- Be prepared for a week on your feet - hit the gym now and start working out!
- Bring comfy shoes (girls bring sneakers not heels), and buy insoles.
- Try to leave a day for R&R about 3/4 the way in, just to hang on the beach and relax
- You can learn a lot from the panels, but they pretty much say the same things every year..
- Days Inn on Collins, best deal on the planet
- That 24hr Denny's is a nightmare - for some reason year after year they never bring on extra staff for wmc week...
- Bring sunscreen and use it!
- Try not to club hop too much, lines & transportation are a mess and you just end up spending a ton of money to miss everyone you came to see.
- The big shows are cool, but remember it's the smaller / random ones that really make wmc unique - that said:
- Find a boat party
- Find a pool party
- If you do go to any big shows, buy tickets now and show up early even if you have a ticket.
- Do not miss your flight home / getting stuck in MIA on spring break means you will be stranded there for several days - trust me... |

Def a good piece of advice. If you don't pace yourself, it's very easy to pass out and wake up at 2am feeling like .
One more thing to add:
-Eat lots of small meals instead of a few big ones. A belly full of food plus lots of sun and a ton of drinking is (imo) a recipe for disaster. |
